What is an InBody Scan?

An InBody scan is a non-invasive, highly accurate body composition analysis that provides detailed information about your body's makeup.  Unlike a traditional scale, an InBody scan breaks down what your weight is comprised of, including:

  • Muscle Mass
  • Body Fat Percentage
  • Visceral Fat Level
  • Total Body Water
  • Segmental Analysis

When is the best time to do an InBody scan?

  • Prior to scanning:
    • Stand upright for about 5 minutes.
    • Wait 2 hours after eating a meal.
    • Use the bathroom prior to testing.
    • Do not exercise right before testing.
    • Best to take test in the morning, if possible.
    • Do NOT test if medical implant devices such as a pacemaker or with contagious disease/infection.

 

How often should I do an InBody Scan?

  • If you have a specific goal you are working towards, it is recommended to test every 2-4 weeks. 
  • If you are just checking in, looking for maintenance, it is recommended to test ever 6-8 weeks.
